Homecoming for Soul Singer-Songwriter and Blues-Rock Guitarist, Lawrence Battey to Play at Salem’s Elsinore Theatre June 27th Benefiting Alzheimer's Respite Care

Salem Ore, (April 28, 2014) If you want to kick off the summer with a mix of heavy electric blues, soul, jazz, and southern rock, head to the Elsinore Theatre to purchase tickets to hear the talented Lawrence Battey on Friday,  June 27th.lawrencebatteyhome450

Lawrence Battey, originally from Oregon, is an award winning, Denver-based, national performing blues/soul singer, guitarist and songwriter.  It’s no coincidence with the release of his upcoming album “HOME”, he will be performing in front of his home town crowd at the historic Elsinore Theatre where he grew up watching the icon movies. Lawrence will be joined by A-list musicians Berklee School of Music graduate Chris Carlson on drums, NYC’s Bass Collective graduate Jeff Brumley on bass, and Joe Doria on the Hammond B3 Organ.

Event coordinator, Marilyn Daily, Director of the 50+ Center said, “If you like the iconic bands, Jimi Hendrix, CREAM, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, or the Allman Brothers, you will love Lawrence Battey.  We are very lucky to have him here in Salem, helping to raise money for Alzheimer’s Respite Care.”

Ticket prices range from Student tickets at $10 to $30 for premier seating. Tickets can be purchased at,, 50+Center (2615 Portland Rd. NE, 503-588-6303), or at the Elsinore Theatre.  As Lawrence is dedicated to keeping the Blues and A-list musicianship alive amongst the younger generations of musicians, him and his band will be putting on a high school music workshop and jam session for the students that will be held during the day at the Elsinore Theatre.
